Security professionals have to remember if they want a seat in the board room, then they will have to adopt the same fiduciary responsibilities as every other Director and Officer.
With cyber regulation comes demand for skilled and experienced resources. Resources that are hard to find, and will become harder to find as regulation moves across more industry sectors. One suspects the cyber consultants will find their advice will also be questioned, as regulators require board oversight, assure and attest cyber risk.
