A consolidating market and a move towards plateformization are predictions coming out of the cyber tech market. The tech industry has been going through staff reductions and one has seen the shoots of consolidation and acquisition by industry and private equity.
The statements made by Chris Inglis prior to the release of the ONCD cyber strategy, specifically the effect of market forces on the reduction of cyber risk point, towards a consolidation of the cyber tech market.
The introduction of cyber regulation by U.S and EU regulators places a greater burden on boards of covered entities to demonstrate oversight, assurance and attestation of cyber risk management. That in turn places a greater burden on cyber tech to demonstrate value. That’s either an opportunity or threat.
