A great opportunity for the UK defence industry and the UK defence supply chain. Those that support the Apache will undoubtedly be required to demonstrate CMMC Level 2 and maybe Level 3, and in the case of the MoD under FMS, they will have to demonstrate CMMC compliance.
One is watching with great interest as one expects there will be a need for C3PAOs, CCAs, and CCPs to certify UK defence contractors. That follows their continued self-assessment under DFARS 252.204-7012.
One must not forget that CMMC is a commercial contractual obligation; it is highly unlikely that UK companies will get a dispensation for compliance.
