A little over a year ago we arranged a meeting to discuss the need to harmonise cybersecurity regulation between global cyber regulators. Cyber regulation has an effect on national and international trade and as we will see from the effects of EU NIS 2, DORA and the SEC final cyber rule.
Harmonization and standardization of cyber regulations sets cyber standards; clarifies the oversights, assurance and attestation that is important in reducing compliance costs; provides clarity of compliance for boards; sets common objectives for the cybersecurity risk management of common data types across jurisdictions; simplifies audit assurance; sets common objectives for national security between jurisdictions and more.
Bob Dix it’s positive to see that the White House Office of the National Cyber Director has published a paper on the Harmonization of cybersecurity standards, we tried our best to get this conversation going a year ago. (https://lnkd.in/eUTGybhD)
