Are we approaching a point in the UK where the public sector cannot, or should not, beholding back on its management of cyber incidents? As seems to be the case with TFL or the British Library. Could some of this be due to the lack of cybersecurity, management of incidents and a lack of a reporting requirement out side of GDPR?

The article presents an interesting notion. Do we need an accident investigator for cybersecurity, one that presents a balanced report on cyber incidents in the public sector. As we do for issues associated with the police (The Independent Office For Police Conduct). Or the aviation industry where accidents are investigated by an independent third party.
