A very interesting articulate interview with the CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella, that touches on AI.You have to get the tech trend right and understand where the value will be created. Where is the value going to be created in AI.1. The hyper scalers will do well. Those that can do compute will win. The world needs infrastructure, training and test time.2. Things become fuzzy, there’s no winner takes all model or markets. Buyers won’t tolerate winner takes all. There will be different winners across B2B, B2C.3. Microsoft CEO – ‘I like to enter categories where there are Big TAMs that accommodate big markets, where there are opportunities for multiple winners.’The money obviously for Microsoft is building infrastructure and enabling the delivery of distributed model to enable the delivery of AI training, and the support of Reinforcement Learning (RL) models for tailored learning. He touches on GDP growth, in 2025 there will be zero global growth. How do we get Industrial Revolution type of growth (10%). The big winners will be the users of AI, ‘the commodity’ to enable a 10% growth of global GDP. The challenge ahead is how to translate AI into real value to customers and how to generate ‘inference revenue’ and how to ‘parley yesterdays capital into todays demand.’ It’s a race to creating a commodity that is used in the world to drive………….companies and countries will invest capital. So here’s an interesting lesson for VCs, that are piling into AI. AI is about hyperscale and building infrastructure, its about building the capacity to enable model training for big and small models, its about focusing on the ability to build RL models. Its about using this capability to see the bigger picture and go after the large TAMs that are looking for solutions that as yet have no solution to resolve complex problems. All combined to use AI to drive global economic growth.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D. McCarthy Faisal Khan Dan MilesVeritas GRC#cybersecurity #cyberriskmanagement #artificalintelligence
