AI is a double-edged sword for Financial Institutions; on one side FIs’ use of AI creates significant operational and cyber risk, on the other, threat actors’ use of AI enables the exploitation of vulnerabilities, and AI accelerates the automation of the Cyber Kill Chain.
We are at the start of the AI Cyber Risk journey, with models such as Mythos demonstrating the ability of frontier models to create opportunities for threat actors and FIs alike.
