AI is transformative, there are few doubts that it delivers benefits. It can reduce the time necessary to consume, evaluate and respond to tasks. BUT, there aren’t the resources in the market place to deliver the products or services needed by UK industry. Nor are there clear opportunities identified for AI can address. Demonstrated by the many reports in 2024 that questioned the financial returns VC and PEs see from AI in the short term.AI maybe a medium to long term opportunity. Requiring skilled resources and opportunities to demonstrate success. There’s also a need to address data and security associated with AI. Afterall AI relies on our digital dependency and the data that we have created to power LLMs. For domain specific AI, it also requires the ability to ingest domain specific knowledge to ensure that what comes out of AI is not crap.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
