All it took was a single and what would be an ordinary day at the gym, to expose the location of a 40,000-ton aircraft carrier with 2,000 personnel heading towards the Gulf region. It is widely reported that a sailor on board the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle exposed the location of one of France’s largest defence assets while exercising on deck. At a time of probably the greatest time in Geopolitical tensions in recent years.

Whilst running around the deck, a sailor transmitted his location through his smart watch, in near real time, to his public account, exposing the location of the ship and its escort group.

Digital security is national security, as this example demonstrates a simple Lifestyle platform used by 120 million people exposed the location of a significant defense asset. Our digital assets unwittingly expose our digital footprint. A €20 watch exposes a €3 billion defense asset, strike group, and personnel.
