The global nature of the world in which we live makes the impact of regulation and compliance a global challenge, when one jurisdiction regulates to a higher standard than your own. The UK and EU faces a significant challenge with cyber and data regulation that are inextricably linked.
Close attention should be paid to the US cyber and data regulation. UK and EU companies may have to make business decisions if they wish to avoid what is happening with the SEC and DoD and want access to their markets. There needs to be a global alignment of regulation and standards to help everyone.
