And the games begin…………….

As Delta sues Crowdstrike following the July 19th incident, that caused system outages across the globe following a software update by Crowdstrike . An update that bought companies such a Delta to a standstill.

The lawsuit filed by Delta in Fulton County Superior Court referred to the faulty software as catastrophic and that the if the software update was tested on one computer it would have crashed. Crowdstrike Crippled Deltas business.

Delta is seeking $500 million in out of pocket expenses, unspecified lost profits, expenditures, fees and reputational harm and future revenue losses from Crowdstrike.

One suspects that this will be a case to watch both for its size, precedence setting as a case that had such a global impact, and the potential to open the gates for further claims against Crowdstrike.
