Are we going to see changes in cyber security following the results of the US election? Maybe, but maybe not quickly. There will probably be other more pressing priorities for the new administration to focus on. Its going to take time for the new administration to get its feet under the table.

But could we see a refocus on international cooperation and a move away from the ‘America First’ agenda? With the US taking the centre ground on international cooperation and global polices such as climate change, the WHO and NATO?

The US published supply chain regulation with article 889 of the National Defence Authorisation Act and CMMC for cyber security. Will the US continue it efforts on supply chain and cyber security and international cooperation to address internet governance. With increased control of the internet by China and Russia and data surveillance polices being adopted which impact international trade? And Chinas dominance of international supply chains.

It’s probably no surprise that the Yuan had a bumpy week.
