Are we seeing the signs of low level cyber skirmishes in the middle east? The Iranians supposedly attacking Israeli water treatment facilities and a reported cyber attack on the Iranian port of Shahid Rajaei this week. Underpinning the wider cyber tensions in the region.
The Iranians are reported to have targeted US agencies on home turf in recent times and a recent friendly fire incident led to a missile strike on an Iranian warship, which was put down to a computational issue and not a cyber attack.
Whatever has happened, there is a rise in incidents so lets hope things cool down. As both as both Iran and Israel have substantial cyber capabilities, built up over many years of conflict, local and international.
