As always Tom McLeod you grasp the situation with both hands. Knowledge industries such as Audit are facing challenges from AI. But there is some salvation that comes from the use of Gen AI and LLMs. In the case of audit, GEN AI is not grounded in all the Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to conduct audits fully. Gen AI knows allot of stuff, but its ‘General’.As you know we have demonstrated the use AI to remove layers of complexity and bureaucracy in cyber audit. We can perform takes that take days, in minutes. Demonstrating significant improvements in audit efficiency, whilst maintaining audit quality, risk, regulatory compliance and reporting. Delivering domain specific AI focused on Cyber Audit, why? Because, 99% of companies find it difficult to manage cyber risk and have no baseline of what good cyber security risk management looks like. AI can enable regulated companies oversight and assure cyber risk. However the challenge for the audit industry (all knowledge industries) is that once you capture the knowledge, skills and experience through domain specific LLMs. The value created by the individual is now created by the AI. Once AI knows what ‘good looks like’ and can be ‘grounded’ it can learn and develop. It simply requires human oversight. Here lies an opportunity and challenge for Audit. You have to decide will I get on the bus, or not. AI will remove layers of complexity across the professional, regulatory and compliance supply chain. For example once legislation is passed AI will learn from it and create the necessary frameworks, policies, procedures, and standards in minutes, that would take months. It will evaluate professional competency against those standards and corporate compliance against the same.Bureaucracy and complexity will evaporate, it only take the time to capture domain specific knowledge, skills and experience. The question is when…………….Faisal Khan Dan Miles#artificialintelligence #aicyberaudit
