As the days of the Biden administration draw to a close, the President has signed an Executive Order on Strengthening and Promoting Innovation in the Nations Cybersecurity. It makes for interesting read, reaffirming the application of cybersecurity risk management practices, more than stating new or improved methods for cybersecurity risk management. Floating between specific technical orders through to strategic.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski, section 6, promoting security with and in AI makes for interesting read. Especially the intersection of AI and Cybersecurity. As you have stated many times the adoption of Ai is predicated on cybersecurity, AI and Data governance and management. The order aligns with EU regulation’s such as the CRA, enforcing Federal Agencies require vendors carry a US cyber Trust Mark. There’s allot in the order to consider, however there’s little on the application, delivery or management of cyber risk. One wonders if and how it will withstand the new administrations first 180 days.Brian D.
