As the world gets bigger, it also gets smaller. By that I mean the more people we have on the planet and the more we grow the global digital footprint The more pressure we will put on our natural resources and living space, with a direct relationship with Global warming. The greater the need for smart solutions for living, health, food, supply, transportation, finance and government. Our reliance on digital and data will increase much further than it already has.
IoT will provide the devices, the internet the means to connect all the devices. Countries such as china already use mas surveillance systems to track its citizens, whilst Western countries prevent such systems. As we are at the start of this long road, it makes sense that we put in place the necessary controls and cyber security regulations to ensure that our dependence on IoT and digital does not enable a failure in our society to receive the most basic services.
