Asus pushed out malicious code to +500,000 servers. It was found by Kaspersky, when it noticed unusual activity follow an update.
What’s worrying is that as it was signed with an authentic certificate, it wasn’t picked up nor was it likely to be picked up by AV until it runs. From what I’ve read it was coded with 600k MAC addresses, so may have been targeted.
But whoever’s pushed it out, it worked.
