At least we’re all in the same boat, we all have bad cybersecurity, and we all forgot the cardinal rule. Your adversary is playing a 100-year game. That’s just war…………and ‘All is fair in love and war’.

Yes, stealing the data of every US citizen is bad. But what is way worse is that the data of companies has likely been compromised. If you hack digital voice, you have digital data. Yes, personal profiling is bad, but not as bad as stealing IP, worst still when it’s defense IP or related to National Security.

We’ve gone way beyond being nice and asking for CNI providers to secure technology. One never sees anyone saying how, maybe those responsible for creating this situation should be asked how to fix it. At least the Europeans have set out an agenda to require CNI providers across the 27 member states to manage cyber risk. It’s not perfect, but it’s way better than anything anyone else has.

How long do we think it will take to deliver cybersecurity across CNI? Months or years?
