Australia’s Prudential Regulatory Authority has written to regulated entities to remind them of the important of cyber resilience. Requiring covered firms to ensure they are meeting the requirements in CPS 234, self assessing themselves against sounds information security practices. Specifically ensuring entities have backup practices in place and are functioning. Highlighting APRA considers the failure of backups a material control weakness under CPS 234.
