Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) is not just a certificate and qualification. It is a qualification equivalent to Chartered Engineer, Accountant, Lawyer and Doctor. CSyP is given by the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals (WCoSP) under Royal Warrant. the WCoSP is a City of London Livery company one of only 110 Liveries, that have their roots dating back to 1272. CSyP is managed by the Security Institute on behalf of the WCoSP, the UKs largest security trade association.
Achieving CSyP status is not easy and not given lightly. It is a professional qualification given to recognise those who have demonstrated themselves as thought leaders, leaders in their field and present the highest levels of professional standards.
As a CSyP assessor it is a privilege to be part of the process of assessing candidates from across all sectors of the security industry including the military, civilian security services and commercial sector. Giving security professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their trade and if successful take a place on the UK register of security professionals, recognised by the CPNI.
