Could U.S Federal government and the EU be in danger of coordinating cyber legislation. Or did the U.S have to release a proposal to secure IoT and digital device security (Developing a new label to help Americans know their devices are secure), following the EU releasing a proposal on Cybersecurity resilience 4 weeks ago (https://lnkd.in/erWhKsWU)?
In either case both the EU and U.S are proposing the implementation of regulation that requires the manufacturers of products that are digitally enabled to comply with cybersecurity requirements for the security of the products across the product life cycle. In the case of the U.S IoT devices and in case of the EU Operating Systems, communications equipment, security products, OT, IoT and associated digital services.
It is positive that alignment is starting to occur, between partner nations.
