Cyber is an unforgiving business, and unfortunately is often the case that those who take on the baton face an uncertain future. As is the case with the Chief Technology and Digital Officer from M&S who is moving on, reportedly following the recent Cyber Attack.
Cybersecurity is not a role for the faint-hearted. Not only do we see the frequency, complexity, and severity of cyberattacks increasing, but we have increased regulatory pressure as nation states introduce cybersecurity regulations, and we must deal with boards that have little understanding of cybersecurity or cyber risk management. Their biggest non-financial risk.
