Cybersecurity risk management is a national security issue for all nations. An issue that requires international collaboration to harmonise strategy, policy and standards across governments, government agencies, industry regulators and regulatory enforcement.
U.S, EU and Australian regulators are now setting the requirements for cybersecurity risk management and regulatory compliance. As I presented at DSEI Japan last month the harmonisation of cybersecurity standards and enforcement regimes is required if national security and international trade is to be secured, as it relates to the growing threat of cyber attacks.
