Call us now:
Here’s an interesting thought, with our accumulated global spend on cybersecurity expected to be well over $1.75 trn by 2026. How much of that spend has been focused on managing cybersecurity and how much has been at the expense of market forces?
This week is the last for Chris Inglis the U.S National Cyber director, as he retires from public services. He has said many times that market forces have not delivered the changes needed to manage cybersecurity, calling for a new social contract and cyber regulation to enforce cyber compliance.
When planned U.S and EU cyber regulation comes into force, it will focus and drive cyber spend based upon compliance. One wonders how many products will be able to align themselves towards the paradigm shift that cybersecurity risk management brings, when boards are held responsible and accountable for cybersecurity? VC and PE multiples on cyber are already a little strained.
The 99% problem still exists (SMB cybersecurity).
