Call us now:
How do you manage sovereignty and infrastructure when you don’t have borders; building defenses requires 100,000s of companies to build digitial walls; your physical CNI infrastructure is dependent on digital security; you invest more money on overseas development than cybersecurity; you don’t have enough resources in the public or private sector to manage cyber risk? Are we inching closer to the realization that cyber is indeed a domain of operation for nation states and that our adversaries have been knocking at our digitial doors for so long, it’s starting to hurt. You don’t get those working in the shadows stepping into the light unless there’s a good reason. The term ‘subject to interference’ is chosen for a reason. It’s not to harsh to claim ‘we’re under attack’ and it’s not soft enough to claim ‘nothing to see here, its all under control’.You don’t need to read the ‘Tea Leaves’, we may not be at a watershed moment for nation state cyber, but we cannot be far off. The FBI, CISA, ‘Other’ U.S Security Agencies, ENISA, the NCSC, Australian Signals Directorate to name a few, have all changed their language about cyber over the past 12 months. Lets face it, cyber is a concern and one that moves quickly from Ransomware attacks to asset destruction quickly.Cyber is not a FUD debate. That went out the window when nation state threats managed to shut down U.S healthcare, automotive, casinos, UK and EU Hospitals. Importantly the Head of the FBI and heads of U.S security Agencies presented to Congressional public and private committees on the ‘Persistence’ of Nation States in U.S CNI.Question is. As we’ve pushed cyber out and not taken it seriously enough. What are the next steps to shore up our digital defenses on one hand, while trying to manage our digitial dependency on the other? All with a Laz a Faire attitude?@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
