How the digital and physical world collide. As criminals traffic people around the globe to fuel cyber crime. Victims are trafficked to commit on-line fraud on an industrial scale, while enduring abject physical abuse. With hundreds of thousands of people being trafficked into South East Asia – https://lnkd.in/eiTEz955
We were taught that the drugs trade fueled people trafficking and prostitution. Cyber and digital fraud is more profitable than cocaine production and people are the fuel of the cyber crime industry. An industry that requires a whole of society approach to irradicating the problem for all concerned.
Cyber is a complex geopolitical, national, corporate and individual problem. With long and complex value chains. By failing to act and manage cyber, one must remember the effects on those people being trafficked to fuel digital crime.
