I do agree with the points made, its my own experience that there are some fundamental issues with security today. Which need to be addressed if we are going to drive the fundamental change needed for organisations to manage cyber risk.

There are plenty of technology solutions in the market, to address most aspects of cyber security. Security staff are educated. Key stakeholders don’t understand security, making decisions without an understanding of their impact. That technology won’t provide the magic bullet and that cyber security has to be aligned the processes of the organisation both operationally and within security.

Communication at all levels is the most fundamental issue, up to leadership teams, across and between organisations.
