I have written a white paper with the U.S. Institute of Internal Audit on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposal for Cybersecurity Risk Management, Strategy, Governance and Incident Disclosure by public companies.

The paper is written in support of the internal audit 3rd Line of Defence (LoD) community to communicate the importance and potential impact of the proposal to audit and their internal partners ahead of any ruling. A ruling that will have an significant impact on U.S. National and international foreign registrants on markets under the SECs regulatory oversight.

This weeks Harvard Law School review on the SECs authority to follow climate related disclosures is an important read. As the SECs Cybersecurity Risk Management proposal has been issued to manage a significant material risk to investors, in line with the SECs regulatory remit.
