If CISA was hacked due to vulnerabilities in Ivanti products. There is irony in CISA communicating in February companies should cut off devices, patch, and bring them back on line (https://lnkd.in/ebpjUBQU). As effected devices were being targeted by espionage operations linked to China.
The affect of the hack on CISA may have been limited, but it demonstrates the effects of supply chain hacks and the need to ensure that software is maintained and secure. It also supports the update to FISMA 2023 that passed the House of Representatives Full Committee on Oversight and Accountability last week (https://lnkd.in/ewrBuRZe). That included updates to vulnerability disclosure by Federal Agencies.
