If correct, then there’s a further demonstration of the vulnerability of weapon systems technology. There are several examples of weapon system technology finding its way into the wild through cyber attacks on the Defence Industry Base.

When national security requires defense industry security, the defense industry spends significant amounts of money on R&D to keep a technological edge across the battlespace. It’s a shame that has the potential to be lost through the protection of weapon systems data.

Once the data is in the wild, it’s gone, and it puts the technological advantage, readiness, economic advantage, tactical advantage, and the warfighter at risk.
