Is humanity at a tipping point? Whilst the previous 3 industrial revolutions undoubted delivered massive global change. The 4th industrial revolution is and will deliver change at such a rate with such a reach its impact on humanity will be far swifter and deeper. Across cyberspace, aquaspace, geospace, and space (CAGS).
Like previous revolutions it will change the way we fundamentally live our lives. But it comes at a price in terms of our dependency on technology and data and the products and services which are created. Making it a fragile revolution if not appropriately managed.
Are we therefore in need of a new computer operating system, a security-centric operating system (SCOS), to protect us from the ‘democratisation of destruction’? (https://lnkd.in/e7y6P9P).
Maybe its time to sit down and decide what good looks like. To learn from previous mistakes and design and build an OS which designs out security flaws and embeds security from the motherboard up to the interface and beyond.
