Is the SEC starting to rack up legal wins that demonstrates its authority to regulate crypto currency. “The SEC just keeps winning,” said John Reed Stark, a former agency attorney and prominent crypto critic. “The law is catching up.”

With more crypto cases on the horizon are the odds in favor of the SEC, as precedence is being set. With this in mind how will SEC and GOP law makers balance up the need to secure the securities markets and at the same time allow for innovation? At what point do both sides come to an agreement over the oversight of crypto, or is court the only option?

One is interested in Crypto for the simple reason that cybersecurity risk management regulation has, as yet, not been tested under live fire conditions by the SEC. With 10K and 8K filings coming into the SEC. With cyber attack frequency on the increase and cybersecurity causing national security concerns. The approach the SEC takes to oversight and assure regulatory compliance is being watched closely.
