It is a pleasure to have been included by the International Security Journal (ISJ), as an influencer in security for 2023, along side colleagues from across industry. Cybersecurity is major influence on National, Economic and Societal security and 2023 has seen a major shift as the frequency, complexity and severity of cyber attacks has increased significantly.
In response, nations such as the U.S and EU have moved to regulate cybersecurity across Critical National Infrastructure, Financial Institutions, Capital Markets and the firms that manufacture, distribute and sell digital products and services. Regulations such as EU NIS 2, DORA and the CRA, The SEC final cyber rule, U.S national cyber strategy and Australian cyber strategy are in effect or will come into effect in 2024.
2024 looks to be a challenging year for leadership teams of covered firms as cyber moves ‘Left of Bang’ into the board room. It will also be a big year for our U.S company Veritas GRC, as we launch a suite of cyber/ legal education, advisory and organizational design solutions in response. Supporting covered entities meet their regulatory commitments.
