It is well worth watching if you have an interest in the direction of travel of cybersecurity in the US. The House Committee on Small Business will meet to discuss the ‘Strengthening the Cybersecurity Posture of Americas Small Business Community’ today (20.07.21, 10am EST)

Whilst there is a lot of talk about geopolitical cyber, ransomware and Federal cyber. Small business America is at the front of the cyber debate in the US. Small Businesses account for 99.7% of companies in the US (OSD – A&S), they do not have the resources to deploy cyber and are the most critically impacted by a cyber attack. In the case of the US DoD, small businesses globally form a critical component of the Supply Chain. Delivering products and services to critical defence programs.

This is well worth watching. The output from the committee will help form critical thinking for small business cyber in the US.
