It’s been a pleasure for Veritas GRC to have supported the ECIIA | European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing, Pascale Vandenbussche and their dedicated team of internal audit professionals develop their guide to the EU AI Act for internal Audit.The paper brings a lens to the EU AI Act, that came into force in August 2024. Highlighting the implementation time lines for regulatory and legal compliance and the obligations and requirements of the Act by the EU, systems developers and distributors. The paper includes the outputs of a survey by the ECIIA of its members on the adoption and usage of AI for the purposes of auditing. Highlighting the maturity of AI across those companies that responded and use of AI by the audit functionThe AI act came into force in 2024, the regulations apply from February 2025.
