It’s positive to see the economic benefits of cooperation and collaboration between the UK and US defence industries.
When one considers the notice by Lockheed Martin for its global DIB to comply with CMMC. The question is, how prepared are UK defence contractors to comply with CMMC Level 1 and Level 2? UK defence contractors have to attest their compliance to CMMC. If they don’t comply, they will not be awarded new contracts or options.

What will be the effect on UK economic growth, innovation, and the development of critical skills? Attesting compliance is a complex and expensive process, and as we have seen, the US DoW and DoJ are focused on the False Claims Act and DFARS compliance.
