Japan has taken a big policy step forward, as the government has agreed to double its military spending in the next 4 years. In what is the most dramatic overhaul since it adopted a pacifist constitution after the 2nd World War. Triggered by rising tensions in the region including from North Korean and China.

Japan is a member of the Quad group of countries that include the U.S, Australia and India. With the U.S being a key ally, one could assume much of the spending will go on U.S weapons.
