Call us now:
Knowledge is king, or so they say. But with the advent of AI, its actually becoming true. As AI exposes the significant gap we face in its adoption, one of knowledge capture. Gen AI is remarkably good at hoovering up the data and information that we’re published across the internet over the past 30 or so years. But it’s not that good at turning that data into professional solutions, as it lacks a key ingredient. While it AI can consume data and use data to make reasoned judgement, it loses out in the last 100 yards.Knowledge and Experience……….the one thing that AI cannot, as yet, garner. The stuff that has been built up inside humans that takes data, creates information and applies it to solve problems more efficiently. Knowledge and experience take the 2 dimensions of data and information and combines them to solve problems more efficiently and accurately today.“Experts are so automated and unconscious about what they do that they can’t remember to tell you. even if they want to,†Clark told me. He points out that standard training methods fall way short, overlooking roughly 70% of the critical decision-making and knowledge that experts hold. It’s a staggering gap.Herein lies the challenge and opportunity for AI. Challenge as the more we rely on AI the more we lose the knowledge, skills and experience associated with performing complex work, undertaken by the knowledge industry. Opportunity as AI enables us to capture professional knowledge and experience through the process of machine learning and domain specific AI.In the case of cyber audit that is increasingly required to assure compliance to cyber regulation. We can demonstrate that capturing the knowledge of auditors significantly improves the outcome of the audit process. Not to the detriment of auditors, but to improve audit efficiency and accuracy, allowing what is a scare resource to be applied to more value added work. Our current estimates are that using AI, that ingests professional knowledge in addition to using general AI, is at least 30% more efficient and more accurate in completing cyber audit work (we don’t have to sample). Enabling cyber auditors to focus on value added work. With at least 150,000 companies in the EU that have to comply with cyber regulation that’s a significant opportunity. Especially when there’s a significant gap in cyber audit resources.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D. McCarthy Faisal Khan Dan MilesVeritas GRC#cybersecurity #cyberriskmanagement #artificalintelligence
