Maybe the game is a foot, as the Department of Justice announces the largest procurement fraud settlement in history. Defense contractor Booz Allen settled a $377 False Claims Action with the Department of Justice, supported by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Settling the claim rather than face protracted litigation.

The investigation was sparked by a Whistleblower report from a former employee of the company, covering the period 2011 to 2021. Demonstrating that the DoJ is serious about pursuing allegations of wrong doing to U.S tax payers by Federal Contractors. With the Whistleblower receiving nearly $70million, it’s also a nice little earner for those that seek fair and equitable procurement for Federal Agencies.
