Officials from the UK and Japanese governments held a meeting last week to discuss their strategic priorities and partnership on cybersecurity. The two governments are working together to
1. Expand mutual efforts across cybersecuirty training, education and exercises.
2. To establish trusted processes for information and intelligence sharing.
3. Bring together public and private sector stakeholders to improve bilateral partnerships and facilitate future collaboration.
4. Enable thought leadership to improve the development of national government structures and improve information security.

As we wrote in 2023, it’s critical that nation states discuss harmonisation for cybersecurity risk management and develop shared objectives over cyber standards, if international trade is going to flourish.
