One thing the US President cannot be accused of is not getting the job done. His methods may be unorthodox in global political circles. Sometimes you just have to call a fig a fig and a trough a trough (go do your research), and he cannot be accused of not facing off against tough global challenges.
The White House has published its Cyber Strategy for America, and for those who want to understand the future of US cyber strategy, it makes for an interesting read and sets out a vision of defending US interests in cyberspace and tackling US cybersecurity head-on.

The strategy makes clear that cybersecurity is a lever for creating innovation, economic growth, and securing the country’s technological dominance. While the strategy is light on specifics, it sets out the objectives of US cyber policy.
Cyber will be a strategic differentiator for the US. One expects that if history has anything to say, doing business with the US will require falling behind US policy or losing out. You can expect closer alignment between the US and EU cyber policy.
