One was pleased to see that the U.S National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) published their ‘Directors Handbook on Cyber-Risk Oversight’ last week. Recognizing the need for corporate boards to adopt a 3 Line of Defence (LoD) Model for the oversight and assurance of cybersecurity risks and regulation ahead. Addressing the corporate challenges with regulatory compliance including the SEC cyber risk proposal, EU NIS 2.0 and DORA.

In September 2022 we published a 3 LoD cyber risk management framework, Target Operating Model(TOM) and implementation program to address cyber regulatory compliance.

Ted Dziekanowski and I are pleased to be delivering cybersecurity risk management education, including the program, to U.S attorneys in April alongside attorney Rachel V. Rose, JD, MBA. As part of Bar Association Continued Learning and Education(CLE) requirements for cybersecurity risk management education.

You will find our TOM on page 16 of the enclosed board cyber risk management framework, facilitating boards and leadership teams meet their regulatory compliance obligations for the oversight, assurance and attestation of cyber risk.
