One wonders the impact of the EU introducing cybersecurity regulations that lock UK industry out of CNI supply chains unless they comply with NIS2; or our ICT vendors if they do not comply with DORA; or our technology vendors that do not comply with the EU CRA. Further still, our Defense Industry Base is getting locked out of United States Department of War contracts if they do not comply with the DoW CMMC program. Unless UK companies comply at their cost.

Cybersecurity regulation is creating economic trade barriers, and while the US and EU regulators move ahead and implement cyber regulation, the UK falls behind. There may be free trade agreements with the EU, which is not the same as requiring regulatory compliance in line with national companies, or contractual obligations that have to be met.
