As a 25-year risk and security professional, I can appreciate the challenges the industry has with managing cybersecurity risks. So I will say that cyber risk has been moving faster than industry’s defences for years. The issue now, however, is that AI has added rocket fuel to the already burning cyber fire.
As a founder of an AI audit and assurance company focusing on, among other things, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and assurance. I see the pace at which AI is moving as we develop solutions to enable the audit community to provide Audit assurance.
The cyber debate has seesawed for years; we’re going to find out who was right and who was wrong in the cybersecurity debate. Now, however, you have 3 capabilities that independently affect national security, and when compounded, have an exponential effect. These are AI and Cyber.
