Orange Telecom of Belgium was hacked in July, and data reported to be of 850,000 Orange Belgium customers was published. It’s the third major hack of the French Telecoms provider his year.

In July, there were disruptions to some of its services in France after a cyberattack on one of its information systems. Employee data from its Romanian business was targeted in a separate attack earlier this year.

Currently, France has not transposed EU NIS 2 into national law. One wonders about the effect and consequences on service providers such as Orange when it does.
