Radiohead, a favorite of mine, released their latest album earlier than planned. Following a threat by hackers, who stole it, to publish it ahead of time. Given the bands history of releasing material and giving customers the opportunity to decide how much they want to pay, probably not a good idea.
But it goes to show that securing your perimeter is a good idea. Putting content on externally facing services is not good.
