Was it reasonable to assume there would be no competition for OpenAI, and was the timing of DeepSeeks announcement so poorly timed? If indeed DeepSeek was trained using OpenAI model, then who is at a disadvantage.There’s a bigger game at play and one neither big tech or the financial markets can control directly, that’s the game of geopolitics.
