Solving customer services issues is one thing, fixing cybersecurity risk management is something completely different.Dan Miles, the next development in AI is the creation of agentic AI solutions that will be capable of imitating human logic and reasoning. Which is outstanding. When one considers what is needed to mimic human logic and reasoning one has to consider that there are many cases where human logic or reasoning has as yet captured by any LLM. Or we’d have a cure for most forms of cancer. This in no way diminishes the importance of AI today and in the future. As it’s highly likely that AI will facilitate a cure for cancer and find solutions to many other problems that humanity faces. Which brings me to AI and cybersecurity.AI is a powerful tool and when one brings together the illusive knowledge, skills and experience of those professionals involved in cybersecurity and grounds their knowledge in AI. We create solutions the reduce significantly the effects of hallucinations, but more importantly me build the guard rails around AI logic and reasoning that enables AI to make more informed, reasoned judgements and to some degree ‘imitating human logic and reasoning in nuanced scenarios.’Solving repetitive tasks is one thing. Using AI to solve complex tasks that rely on human judgement that defines ‘what good looks like’ within the bounds of guard rails set by standards, policies and procedures is something completely different. Many problems require humans to make subjective decisions based on objective evidence. Where one persons good maybe another persons not so good, and AI has to be able to come up with the same answer, repeatably, faster and be cost effective. Which is the challenge for AI in cybersecurity risk management.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D. McCarthyVeritas GRC#cybersecurity #cyberriskmanagement #artificalintelligence
