Such surveys are intersecting for what they say and what they do not say. Only 34% of S&P 500 companies have a cyber expert on the board, 46% allocate cyber oversight to internal audit and 33% of directors think that their boards understand the companies cyber vulnerabilities.
One wonder how many S&P boards understand the SEC final cyber rule and its effects of corporates organizational design? Have implemented adequate cyber risk management? Adopted the necessary governance structure to oversight, assure and attest cyber risks and understand the fiduciary responsibilities that the SEC and EU NIS 2 require? One also wonders if EU Directors understand the same requirements if they are CNI providers of FIs.
We’ve captured our thoughts on the SEC final cyber rule, EU NIS 2 and compliance. (https://lnkd.in/ecEPkpVd, https://lnkd.in/eSRjtc7E). That Directors and Officers will find informative.
