Ted Dziekanowski it’s not just cyber regulators who are driving cyber security left to a proactive risk based approach to create situational awareness and improve resilience, as CISA looks to be moving further ‘Left of Bang’. One wonders if Federal government adopted and delivered FISMA, NIST SP 800-37, 30 and 39 and apply the controls that come from 53, 171 or ISO 27001, risk based ‘Defensive cyber’ would be a reality, as risk based cyber enables organizational situation awareness, a focus on low risk tolerance to asset security, as you cannot economically secure everything. It is FISMAs 20th anniversary after all.
Maybe the ‘Left of Bang’ approach for cyber is starting to gain popularity. As we wrote in our paper earlier this year, when the cyber regulatory paradigm started to take shape (https://lnkd.in/ecukvdWd).
